Allen’s career has largely centred around property law, banking and finance.
Currently in these areas he advises a Territorial Authority on property matters as well as being a legal advisor to a registered bank, having extensive experience in the drafting of a diverse range of joint venture development, security and financing documentation. He has been instrumental in establishing a major finance company and continues to advise various businesses in this area of law.
Allen’s experience also includes trusts, particularly charitable purpose trusts and he currently advises numerous charitable trusts and companies. He has substantial knowledge of the Trust Act 2019 and its impact on the operation of trusts in New Zealand.
Over the last 20+ years, Allen’s main goal and drive has been assisting Auld Brewer Mazengarb & McEwen to be the great law firm that it is. For him, this means having exceptional lawyers, staff and a good working environment resulting in the high quality of work that we provide for our clients.
