Allen’s career has very much centred around property development, business structuring and restructuring, banking and finance.
Allen is a legal adviser to a registered bank and has extensive experience in the drafting of a diverse range of joint venture development, security and financing documentation.
Allen was instrumental in establishing a major finance company specialising in development of mezzanine financing and continues to advise various businesses in this area of law.
Allen acts for a number of Taranaki’s biggest employers.
Allen has extensive experience in trusts, particularly charitable purpose trusts, and currently advises numerous charitable trusts and companies, in particular Maori trusts, involved particularly in the health sector.
Allen’s goal is to assist Auld Brewer Mazengarb & McEwen to be a great law firm in the business and public law areas – to have great clients, great lawyers/staff, great work and have a great working environment.
Allen sees his role as endeavouring to make life easy for his business clients in the legal context. He is a problem solver for his clients.
